The Cooler Skating Academy's LEARN TO SKATE program runs year round with sessions 8 weeks in length (shorter when adjusted due to holidays or special events).  We offer group classes according to the US Figure Skating Basic Skills Program which is a progressive method to teach the fundamentals of skating in a fun and challenging way.  Our staff of professional skating instructors, all members of PSA (Professional Skaters Association) and US Figure Skating is ready to help you and your family acquire good skating skills.

5 weeks of group classes, cost: $100 ($10 additional for skate rental)

Snowplow Sam 1 on Mondays at 4:15pm and Saturdays at 11:05 + 11:40am,

Snowplow Sam 3 on Monday at 4:15pm and Saturday at11:05am

Basic 1 (5-7) on Mondays at at 4:15pm and Saturdays at 11:05am,

Basic 1 (8-13) on Mondays at 4:50pm and Saturdays at 11:40am,

Basic 2 on Monday at 4:15pm, Saturday at 11:05 and 11:40am,

Basic 3 on Moday at 4:15pm and Saturday at 12:15pm

Basic 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 on Monday at 4:50pm

and Saturday at 12:15pm,

Adults on Saturday at 11:05am

General information about our group classes:

What to Wear:
Comfortable, warm clothing: long pants (sweat suits), gloves or mittens, a helmet or other protective head gear, thin socks (high enough to cover the top of skating boots).

Make Up Classes:
A list with possible make up classes for each semester will be posted at the rink and on the Cooler site (BELOW).

YOU CAN MAKE UP 2 CLASSES DURING A SEMESTER, missed classes DO NOT carry over to the next semester. Please no make-ups during the first week!

Evaluations will be made during the last two weeks of each semester, recommendations for re-registration will be handed out and online registration for advanced levels will be open at this time.

Refunds:
Refunds will only be available until the end of the first week of class. (All refunds are subject to a $30 administration fee).  In house credits are always available.

Private Lessons:
Private Lessons can supplement the group classes and are given on Public Session ice times for beginning skaters.  Please see the Public Session Schedule for times. For information on coaches available for private lessons go to FIGURE SKATING and COACHING STAFF.
